January 2017  
4th Image editing walk through. Richard Greaves will be showing anyone who uses Photoshop adjustment layers a ‘must have’ skill. Bring your laptop to join in or join some other members who bring theirs. In a change to the format you can learn the technique click-by-click as Richard walks you through it on the projector. Anyone can use this skill regardless of Photoshop experience and Richard has created a Photoshop Action to take away with you to make this technique even easier.
11th Annual awards & buffet dinner. Provisionally booked for the Britannia Pub in Pudsey. 239 Swinnow Rd, Leeds LS28 9AP. Closing date for entries for the January Quarterly Competition.
18th Anthony Ware. The Story Behind The Shot. Our own Anthony Ware will be showing us something from a slightly different perspective.

February 2017  
1st YPU exhibition members preview night. For anyone who is considering entering the YPU Annual Exhibition or any major exhibition, this evening should help you prepare your images for submission. You can also use it to let other members critique your work in advance of your entry. Standards are high and it could be a great opportunity to see some of our member’s images that may not make it into the final exhibition.

8th Four objects, many compositions. Bring your camera tonight for some hands on fun photographing four very different objects. A great opportunity to practice still life, macro, abstract and creative photography.
15th *David Goodier, LSWPP, LRPS. Shooting your LRPS Panel. David will be joining us to explain the process of putting together a panel of images for submission to earn the coveted accreditation of Licentiate of the Royal Photographic Society.
22nd Bob Redman Trophy. This years subject is ‘Parks & Recreation’. Judge: Bob Tomlinson.

1st *Christina Hodgeson, BA(Phot), ARPS, CPAGB. Christina visits us tonight to present ‘Surrealism’.

8th Presidents Evening. The Presidents Evening makes a welcome return to the 2017 syllabus. Your President Duncan Webb will be sure to provide an evening that will entertain us all as he introduces us to “What to do with all those slides?”
Sat 11th Interclub round 3. Huddersfield Photo Imaging Club. Set Subject: Altered Reality. Set Theme: Sport/Action.
15th Bob Free. CPAGB, APAGB. One of our longest serving members will be sharing with us some of his best images. Spanning a lengthy career in photography there will be something bound to please anyone with this presentation.
22nd Tony Mitchell Trophy. Judge: Peter Thomson, DPAGB, APAGB.

29th Ten Minute Stars. A relaxed night where members can take to the floor with projected images, prints or a demonstration of any photography related subject of interest to the societies members. If you feel you do not have enough images to fill an entire evening then tonight is a great night to show us what you have. If you’ve discovered something that you think the club should see, likewise tonight is the night to show it.

5th Jane Ellis. Our own Jane Ellis presents ‘Around the UK in 7 days’ - she would like you to think of it as her holiday snaps, and yet we hear this one has a little twist to it making it more special than that.

3rd *Keaton Roebuck. A welcome return from Keaton as he introduces us to his latest presentation entitled ‘Seldom’. Always a great show, so don’t miss out.

10th Studio Night. Do you like dressing up? Do you know someone who does? We will be converting our normal venue into a photographic studio. Our members can snap away practising their portrait techniques – that’s if we can get someone in front of the camera!
17th AV night. A selection of material from Yorkshires leading proponents of AV. (subject to change)
24th Lightowler Trophy and Colour Award. Judge: Bill Johnson, ARPS, DPAGB, APAGB.
31st *Sally Sallett, ARPS, CPAGB, BPE1*. Sally presents a night of images focusing on the ups & downs of a 3 week/ 200 mile narrow boat trip from Lichfield to Wakefield.
   
June 2017  
7th *Howard Toll. Opportunities to learn about and possibly photograph birds of prey.

14th Out Of The Camera Competition. This new competition will prove who is the master of in-camera composition. No ‘post production’ of the image is allowed – it must be exactly as the camera captured it. As this is a new competition we will be judging this ourselves. The exact rules concerning proving that images are not ‘edited’ will be distributed in due course.
21st Night out. The first of the society’s evening walks with your camera. We will be meeting at a local photogenic location for photographic fun. Time and location to follow.
28th Elsie Freeman Trophy. Judge: Frank Lodge, CPAGB.
   
July 2017  
5th YPU Video Lecture. Details to follow.
12th Mid year social & quiz night. NEW. It doesn’t have to be Christmas to let our hair down. Come along for a lighter hearted night. A quiz and some nibbles guaranteed.

19th Our second photography night out. Meet at Thwaite Mills, Thwaite Lane LS10 1RP at 18:30. There will not be anybody at our normal venue!

2nd Annual Auction. Tonight is about raising much needed funds for the club so come along and bid… don't forget to bring something to sell that you no longer want.

9th Anthony Ware. Anthony will be showing us another night this year. A night not to be missed.
16th Martin Cassell. A regular favourite as Martin introduces us to some of the images of Fauna from his excursion in to Africa.

30th Richard Greaves. Where has our own competition secretary been this year on his motorbike, on his bicycle or on foot?
   
September 2017  
6th Chris Glass. After last years evening our own Chris Glass has decided to show us some more projected images.

13th *Stephanie Cook. New to the lecture list Stephanie’s presentation does exactly what it says on the tin. A selection of digital images covering a multitude of subject matter.
20th Photoshop workshop. Building from our last event, Richard will be walking you through, click by click, a technique in Photoshop that everyone can use on their images. Bring a lap top and join in or simply observe as you wish. If you have any requests for techniques you’d like to see more of then please direct them to Richard.

1st AGM. The Annual General Meeting of Leeds Co-operative Photographic Society is your chance as members to have your say on how it is run. Your input is vital.
8th Grahame Gage. The society Treasurer is kept busy with our finances but occasionally gets out with a camera. A good night is guaranteed.
